![]() Some models felt cheap, squeaked and groaned when used, and had large, visible seams. But when we examined grinders in person and side by side, the variations in construction quality were obvious. In short-term testing, we can’t replicate the type of use and abuse a grinder is likely to see over years of ownership. The pressure-fit and glued-in magnets that hold on the top grinding plate can pop out. Acrylic tops can crack, and cross-threading two pieces when you’re screwing them together can damage the threads. Durability and support: A hunk of aluminum or steel isn’t easy to damage, but accidents happen. We looked for models that didn’t hold herbs hostage. Yes, a knock or two normally dislodges stuck buds, but sticky cannabis strains can stubbornly cling to tiny crevices. It’s no fun to sit around picking tiny leafy chunks out from between sharp metal teeth. Easy to empty: A good three- or four-piece grinder should let most of your material fall through the holes between the teeth and into the collection chamber.Because preferences and uses vary, in our testing we focused on smooth and even grinds more than on exact granularity. To produce a finer grind, all you need to do is give your flowers a few extra twists with the grinder upside down that keeps the material from falling through the holes into the collection tray and creates finer results when you flip the grinder back over. A slightly coarser grind is more flexible, though. Buzz at prefers to get a finer grind for conduction vaporizers like our pick from Pax or something a little coarser that lets air through for convection vaporizers like the Firefly 2+. Evenness of grinds: Uniformly ground cannabis often heats more evenly, and thus more efficiently, than uneven chunks torn by hand. The shape, sharpness, and number of teeth all contribute to a model’s grinding ability. The best grinders have teeth that slice through these buds instead of binding while you try to force them through. ![]() No binding when grinding: Some modern cannabis strains can produce flowers with especially dense buds that are hard to grind.I totally love this pack and know that my husband will too when he wakes up to one (or ALL) of these fun surprises. If you are looking for more fun ideas for that special man in your life then you definitely need to check out this Gift’s For Your Guy pack with 3 fun gift ideas! Now when he takes it to work everyone will know it’s his. Scott works in a big lab that he has to share with his coworkers. If I make it again I will probably make the labels a bit smaller! I printed them on sticker paper so I could stick them directly to the box. Once everything was all put together we added some printable labels. They loved doing this and kept saying are we making a special surprise for daddy? Then I set the kids to work filling the cleaned bottles with treats. I kept the box and spray painted it blue to make it look like something special. To make daddy’s stache we used a six pack of root beer. We included some of his favorite treats and then the kids each picked out something for dad at the grocery store! They love to be involved in fun surprises for Scott! We thought dad could use some fun treats to keep him going during the day. The kids and I made Daddy’s Snack Stache because Scott kept complaining about how he forgot his lunch and never had anything to eat at work.
